The Benefits of CT Guided Dental Implants

To complete your dental implant procedures, we utilize iCAT Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans. These fast and detailed scans use an open environment scanner, cost significantly less than hospital CT scans, and offer comprehensive treatment planning. There’s no need for exploratory surgery to get your dental implants and it also results in a faster procedure.

The iCAT CBCT scan takes less than a minute to capture an image with pixels as small as 1/200th of an inch. Since it’s an open platform, you don’t have to worry about going inside a small enclosed tube like the machines at the hospital. Since we carry this advanced dental technology in our office, you don’t have to pay additional fees to complete it elsewhere.

Another benefit of CT guided dental implants is that the software allows us to plan every stage of your dental implant procedure from surgery to restorations. These extra planning steps help us complete your procedure faster and reduces your risk of complications.

Single Implants

If you need a single dental implant, taking a CT scan prior to your implant procedure will tell us whether you need a bone graft before implant surgery. The CT scan also helps us see the roots of neighboring teeth so we can avoid hitting them during the placement process. Your single implant placement will have an entire surgical guide to show us where to place the implant and the design of your restoration and implant.

Full Mouth Restoration

If you need to replace an entire mouth of teeth, your full mouth restoration will involve placing multiple dental implants. For your full mouth restoration, we will still complete a CT scan and use the images to plan your multi implant placement. The CT scan will show us how many implants we need to place to support your restorations. This process allows us to provide you a successful dental implant surgery that supports your new teeth.
