What is Teeth In A Day?

Teeth In A Day is a graftless dental implant technique that is more cost-efficient and effective than the leading implant process. As a trusted dentist in Southlake, TX, we use this treatment concept, which involves 4 to 6 dental implants to replace an entire arch of teeth. After placing the dental implants, we attach a temporary arch of teeth. Once the bone heals in the next few months, we will attach your permanent, more precise arch of teeth with a titanium frame. Throughout the entire process, you will never be without a full arch of teeth!

How Does it Work?

The Teeth In A Day method relies on computer guidance to construct the teeth and for optimal implant placement in the jaw’s strongest bone possible. This strategy reduces surgical time, reduces the risk of implant failure, requires fewer appointments, and results in less breakage of the acrylic material around the teeth.

Dr. Van Tassell will start your procedure planning by first taking a CT scan of your mouth. This scan helps him find the most optimal implant placement position and plan your entire procedure. If you need extractions, he will take care of these first. Then, during the implant portion of the procedure, he will place two posterior implants at a 45-degree angle to avoid damage to the adjacent anatomical structures and to avoid invasive bone grafting. He will then use a special instrument to attach the multi-unit abutments to the implants and place healing caps over the abutment and then snap the provisional restorations into place. Once the jaw heals, he will remove the provisional restoration and attach the permanent one.

Who’s a Candidate for Teeth In A Day?

If you’re missing an entire arch of teeth or need extractions that will cause you to have an entire arch of missing teeth, Teeth In A Day is a good option for you. One of the best parts is that most patients don’t require a bone graft. Most dental implant procedures require a bone graft when there isn’t sufficient jaw bone. Teeth In A Day uses a unique approach to placing the dental implants that don’t require as much jaw bone to secure the implants in place.

We do require that patients have good oral health and be free of gum disease. If necessary, we can work on improving your oral health to help you become a good candidate for Teeth In A Day.

Same-Day Teeth FAQs

Same-Day Teeth is an advanced solution that allows you to restore a full, beautiful smile in just one visit. Using strategically placed dental implants and a custom set of teeth, this treatment provides immediate results without leaving you without teeth during the healing process. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about how Same-Day Teeth works and what you can expect from treatment.

Teeth In A Day is a streamlined implant solution that replaces a full arch of failing or missing teeth in a single clinical visit. By strategically placing four to six implants into the strongest areas of your jawbone, we can immediately attach a custom-crafted set of fixed teeth. Consequently, you leave our office with a functional, beautiful smile, eliminating the need for months of waiting or uncomfortable removable dentures.

Initially, we use high-definition 3D CT scans to plan your surgery with computer-guided precision before you even arrive for your appointment. Because the placement is pre-planned, the actual surgical time is significantly reduced. Furthermore, we attach a high-quality provisional bridge on the day of surgery while your jaw heals. Ultimately, once the implants have fully integrated with the bone, we swap the provisional for your precision-fit, permanent arch.

For the vast majority of our Southlake patients, the answer is yes. We use a unique technique in which the posterior implants are placed at a 45-degree angle to tap into the densest available bone. This specialized approach maximizes support while avoiding sensitive anatomical structures, such as the sinuses. As a result, even patients who have been told they lack the bone for traditional implants can often bypass invasive grafting procedures.

On the day of your surgery, you receive a provisional arch that looks and feels natural, allowing you to smile and enjoy soft foods immediately. This initial bridge is designed to be lightweight to accommodate the healing process. Once your jaw has fully integrated with the implants after a few months, we replace it with your final permanent restoration. This final arch is reinforced with a titanium or ceramic frame, providing maximum durability and a flawless aesthetic finish.

As an oral and maxillofacial surgery expert, Dr. Van Tassell has years of specialized training in complex jaw anatomy and anesthesia, well beyond general dentistry. Choosing an expert in Southlake ensures that your “Same Day Teeth” procedure is performed with the highest level of surgical precision and safety. Ultimately, this expertise leads to more predictable, comfortable, and long-lasting results for your investment.
